Ping or SSH to Hypervisor interface causes router relaod

Combination View Flat View Tree View
Hi All,

Have a client trying to set up their SRE and the configs seem ok. What is happening is if they ping or SSH to Hypervisor it causes teh router to reload.

He is his comments:

We are using the following setup.

Cisco 2921 router

Cisco IOS Software, C2900 Software (C2900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.1(3)T, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Service ready engine SM-SRE-900-K9

SRE Virtualization Complete Installation File Set 1.0.2 sre-v-k9.smv.1.0.2.zip

All software is installed and working. Where the problem lies is when I try to either ping or SSH onto the hypervisor interface, the router reloads. If I ping the same hypervisor interface from the router itself, we get ping responses and the router does not reload.

Attached some files with configs etc.

Anyone have an idea what is happening? We are trying to get their support agreements worked out as Dimension data have sold Uptime so I know this should be a Cisco TAC thng but if that is teh answer to get TAC we can do that I'll request teh AM to bypass entitlements.

Cheers,

Geoff

Geoff,

Do they have a PVDM in the router? IF so there is bug and they need to upgrade their IOS image.

Thanks,

Radhika

Can you confirm two things

1. Gateway for ESXi is configured ¿ show hypervisor ip

2. Evaluation license or permanent license is activated.

Thanks

Hi Geoff,

If they have a PVDM in the router and they want to use SRE-v then they have to change the IOS image as 15.1.3T image has bug CSCtj84901. This has been resolved and is available in a image that the customer can get through TAC.

Hi Geoff,

The IOS images that resolve this bug have also been posted to the bottom of the Knowledge Base section in the CDN portal - see http://developer.cisco.com/web/srev/docs

Best Regards,
