SRE-V 2.0.1 leverage VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5.0 to provide full virtualization for virtual machines (VM). Customers utilizing previous releases of Cisco SRE-V must upgrade their licenses in order to use the Cisco SRE-V 2.0 software.

As of January 4, 2012, all new orders for Cisco SRE-V licenses will ship with VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5.0 license activation codes or VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5.0 license keys if the licenses are ordered with the Cisco SRE hardware.

Cisco¿s version 2.0.1 release of the Services Ready Engine Virtualization (SRE-V) platform for the Cisco Unified Computing System¿ Express (Cisco UCS¿ Express) provides full functional parity with VMware vSphere Hypervisor¿ 5.0 . The SRE-V platform may be installed on SM 700 and 710 as well as 900 and 910 service modules.
 
With this new release the licensing format has changed as compared to previous releases.  Please review the product bulletin post listed in the url below for more information regarding upgrading your license from previous releases of SRE-V.
