Hi,

The installation of sre-v 1.5.1 on sre-900 prompts us for a selection:
Please select disk configuration (-1 = nonraid, 0 = raid0, 1 = raid1 ) [-1]:

we'd like to find out what the best option is, and how the vmware, guest behaves for each disk configuration.

Thanks !

Hi Vijay,

The different RAID options are explained in the SRE-V Install Guide ¿ please take a look at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/sre_v/1.5/user/guide/software.html#wp1077235 and if you have further questions, let us know.

Best Regards,

John

Thanks,

Hi Vinothkumar,

As shown by message "System returned to ROM by error - a Software forced crash, PC 0x4A9B808 at 09:53:02 UTC Fri Nov 4 2011", apparently your router crashed. You mentioned tha the service module was working before and then stopped. Did the problem of the SM not loading occur after this crash? You can try completely power down the router, then power it back up and see if that resolves your issue. You can also try powering down the router then removing and reseating the module. If these steps do not resolve your issue, I suggest that you open a service request with TAC to investigate possible issues with the router software/hardware. Opening a service request can be accomplished via the link below.

http://tools.cisco.com/ServiceRequestTool/create/launch.do

or check the web page below to call TAC directly

Hi Vinoth,

For some reason the Default boot option is set to none. If the install was successful than default boot option should be ¿chainloader¿.

Can you quickly try the cli ¿boot chainloader¿ from the bootloader and see what happens.

Thanks,

Radhika
