1.) Where can we find and be kept up to date as to the expected release dates of the "General Deployment" SRE ESXi and supporting IOS code?

2.) Where can we find and be kept up to date as to the expected release dates of SRE ESXi code that will support RAID for the two hard drives?

I looked at the Blog, Knowledge Base and Wiki links.  They are practically empty.  It may just be my access rights.

Steve,

In general some of the information will be available at http://www.cisco.com/go/ucse

Regarding the roadmap for raid for the product I am adding Ivan the PM for this product. In general the Roadmap and other information comes to this team through sales team or partners.

Ivan, Can you answer Steve question.

Thanks,

Radhika

So I notice the SRE-V was silently made GA without an announcement to this forum? Odd....

I looked at the web page you mention below and there are considerably more files to be downloaded than were available for the beta and not a lot of description of what they are and which are required.

I don't see how to get the supporting IOS code at all.

We would like to support SRE-V in an upcoming release of our product next month. The poor coordination of the announcement has jeopardized this.

Can you please let me know where to download the appropriate files so that we can qualify on the GA code?

Also, what provisions are there for licensing the GA code for test purposes. Are the temporary licenses still available or would we have to purchase licenses? If the latter, how can we expedite that and gain appropriate discounts?

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

Yes the SRE-V GA on 11/8/10. You are right it would be useful to have the IOS image version that this would also to the link. We will look into adding the link. You can download the GA version from the download software link in the link below. The file you need to download is the sre-v-k9.smv.1.0.1.zip file.

Once you download it please unzip the file in your ftp server and do sre install as the instructions in the user guide.

Thanks,

Radhika

One thing I forgot to mention was that the evaluation license is still available for 60 days. One thing to note is that just because you change your image to a new image the eval license clock does not start from the beginning again. So if you have 30 days left on eval license you would still have 30 days.

Thanks,

Radhika
