Hi,

I'm trying to create a C# application that would pop-up when someone would call. I would like the info on the person extension in the pop-up.

So I installed the Cisco TSP 6.1, and I went in my Phone/Modem Advance option. I added the CiscoTSP001.tsp and configured it, although I'm not sure what to put in the CTI Manager tab and the Security tab, but when I open up dialer.exe to test like the documentation is telling me I am not able to select it! What am I doing wrong??

Thank you!

You need to configure CiscoTSP first after install.

On CUCM side, you need o create a user for TSP client, and add the user into "Standard CTI Enabled" user group. Then add the deivce you want to control into the user's controlled device list.

You need to configure CiscoTSP UI to provide user and CTIManager you want to connect. please refer to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/tapi_dev/6_0_1/tpdevch2.html where you can find general idea how to configure TSP UI. However, the link does not tell you how to configure security tab, but you can ignore that for now since you won't need it unless you want to use TLS.

Now you can start your TAPI app and your TAPI client should be able to connect to CTIManager you configured.

Thank you for your reply Jun, but I still have a problem.

I'll let you know exactly what I did so you can tell me if I screw up if it's my computer the problem.

1- When on CUCM in the Plugins and downloaded the TSP.exe from there. Once on my computer I installed it.
2- Rebooted
3- I went in Phone/Modem options and added a CiscoTSP001.tsp
4- Double clicked on the CiscoTsp to configure it: The first tab User, I have enter my user and password, btw I made sure on my user that I had Standard CTI User in my group, went in CTI Manager entered my IP of my main CUCM in the backup entered my backup IP.
5- Now if I open the dialer.exe and go in option and try to change the phone option I only get Line H323 as an option I don't get the CiscoTSP option

What am I doing wrong??

Did you include your device into user's control list? This should be
done from CCM user admin if your TAPI application want to control the
device.

Hello,

I'm not seeing the CiscoTSP001.tsp in the dialer in XP either. I installed TSP 7.1 and went through all documented and suggested in this thread configurations steps. Jean, did you get your XP to work?

Thanks,
Val

If all else fails you can enable the detailed TAPI logs and checks the logs to look for errors.  If you can't find anything, you can attach here (if you keep them small) or via a paste-bin.
