you need to register an audio feedback expression before starting the vumeter:
[code]xfeedback register event/audio[/code]

Now you will get VU meter status. Note that this will give lots of feedback...

The API guide for Codec C Series  shows: xCommand Audio Vumeter Start - Start collecting VU meter information for connector given by type and ID.
How can I retrieve the vu meter information that is collected?
