Advice Required: TAPI-type functionality using UCXSI

We are trying to develop a facility for a customer such that:

i) when there is an incoming call (internal/external), a popup will appear on a user¿s screen,

ii) a call (internal/external) may made by clicking on a number.

that is, basic TAPI-type functionality.

We have been advised (rightly or wrongly) that we can do this using the Cisco UC Express Services SDK.
This is instead of TAPI because it is believed that TAPI will not work with Terminal Server.

(This is on a machine with Windows Server 2008 R2 which is running Citrix XenApp 6 Terminal Server.
The phone system is a Cisco UC560 on which is IOS 15.0(1) XA3a.)

Questions:

Can we do what we are trying to do using the UC Express Services SDK? (I have tried unsuccessfully
developing a Java app to make an external call based upon the sample CallControlMonitor
which makes internal calls, but I¿m not sure if external calls can be made.)

Is there any other documentation/sample code other than that provided via the UCXSI links?

Any advice/information would be very welcome.

Hi Charles,

Right now UCXSI supports only sccp endpoints, I don't think it is possible to monitor external calls.

Thanks,
