I would like to announce the general availability of goUCS version 2.0 on Cisco Developer Network. A lot of time and effort has been put into the newest goUCS release, with some of the main features being detailed below.

Lest anyone thinks I have forgotten about my blogging on the UCS API, I have not, but I have written a blog recently for the Data Center blog and it is applicable to the UCS so I thought I would share the link here along with the blog into.

Early in my career I moved quite a bit, new job, growing family, whatever the reason it seemed like every two or three years we were packing up and going to a new place and meeting our new neighbors.

Hello All,

If this issue has already been addressed, please direct me to the correct place.  I'm running the USCM emulater (v1.4) in VMware player on Windows 7 with JRE version 1.7.  When I try to launch the UCS manager from the web interface, I get the following exception from Java Web Start:

com.sun.deploy.net.FailedDownloadException: Unable to load resource: http://192.168.126.128/ucsm/unpacked/centrale.jar

I am able to access the web page with no problem, I just can't launch the UCS manager.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alexander,
Just want to confirm that your machine is not 64-bit. Otherwise, Someone from Cisco has to look in to it

Yes, I am running 64-Bit Windows 7.  I was not aware of any requirement for 32/64 bit operating systems.

I fixed my issue. There was a problem with my Java proxy settings. I switched to using a direct connection and now I am able to launch the UCS manager.

Can you pls share the steps you followed to resolve the issue

Thanks
Dilip

Under Control Panel, click on Java icon, under Genenral tab, Network Settings, click on Network Settings, choose Direct Connection, click OK. You should be able to lauch the UCS Manager.
