I would like to announce the general availability of goUCS version 2.0 on Cisco Developer Network. A lot of time and effort has been put into the newest goUCS release, with some of the main features being detailed below.

 

Lest anyone thinks I have forgotten about my blogging on the UCS API, I have not, but I have written a blog recently for the Data Center blog and it is applicable to the UCS so I thought I would share the link here along with the blog into.

Error connecting goUCS

I am receiving the following error while connecting to the UCS emulator to exceute a XML wrapper. 
"ERROR: Error Can't establish a TCP/IP connection with target, this may be due to a incorrect HTTPS setup.".
I am able to establish a session with the UCS manager and record the GUI operation to create a XML wrapper. Its only when i try to execute the XML wrapper command on the UCS emulator I face the above error. 
Can some one help me out on this?.

Is HTTP -> HTTPS redirection turned on for UCS Manager? Is your goUCS session file using HTTP or HTTPS? If HTTP and HTTP->HTTPS redirection turned on, then that is potentially the issue.

The goucs filterlog logtail function isn't using the UCS GUI session to get the configuration to make the XML wrapper. It's just monitoring the JAVA logfile for XML documents being populated in the file locally.

Thanks for the quick reply Eric.  HTTP->HTTPS redirection is on, but I do have my session file configured to use HTTPS.  What happens is, I have not configured a keystore, so if I was to try to connect, it says, no keystore.  Then when I set CLI_KEYSTORE=IgnoreCert, I get the error ERROR: Error Can't establish a TCP/IP connection with target, this may be due to a incorrect HTTPS setup. 
 
So it seems to make the connection but then when I try to bypass the certificate it says it can't connect.  Also, side note, is there a reference list for all the XML classes available to query?
