Ok I am big enough to admit I made one of the big mistakes in IT, by not reading the damn manual or RTFM. In my haste to setup all my VMs in Fusion I was not starting the UCSPE via the VMX, instead I was trying to open it using the VMDK. Any way crisis averted and thanks to all who attempted to help me with my issue.

My issue is I can run the UCSPE 2.0 vmware image using Vmware fusion with no problem. I get an IP address from DHCP and I can ping between the UCSPE vmware image and the host which is my MAC OS X lion computer. However when I use either Firefox or Chrome to connect to the UCSPE image I get nothing. The browser says the page can not be loaded. I did check and I am running Java 1.6 on my MAC OS X lion computer.
I was wondering if I am missing something or what could be the issue?

What exact issue are you having? Are you having issues just launched the UCSPE UI in Firefox / Chrome? Or are you having issues with launching the java UI for UCSPE on 10.7? I run OSX 10.7 and do testing for UCSPE on 10.7 with no issues. Be better to understand exactly issues you are happening. The web config UI runs on normal ports for HTTP / HTTPS.
