IE cannot display webpage using getJoinURL via XML API

We had a particular client run into a problem joining a WebEx meeting, getting the "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage" error when clicking on a link to join the meeting.  The link was retreived via the XML API using the GetjoinurlMeeting method.

Another client was able to use the URL without any problem.  It appears that the client having difficulty was using IE7 on XP.  I tested the link using an IE7-XP virtual machine and had no problem.

The URL that they were sent was: https://webucator.webex.com//webucator/m.php?AT=JM&MK=598871918&PW=&AN=Ann Pettigrew&AE=annpettigrew@templeinland.com

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brain,

If the link worked correctly on your computer then we can rule out the link as the issue.  I'd suggest having the customer call into our tech support team to run through some basic troubleshooting processes.  Clearing cache, checking for proxies, making sure the site or link works in a different browser on the same computer, or if the customer can join into a meeting on a test site would all be done.  They can usually determine the issue and help resolve the problem within a few minutes.

You can get the support number from your WebEx site listed under Support -> Contact Us from the left navigation bar.

Thank you
