Hi,
I'm integrating WebEx features to a thick Client to allow for the creation
of meeting, displays  lists of meeting,
meeting reminders etc. How do I get near real-time information without continually
polling the WebEx server? For example if host A invites attendee B to a meeting,
how can client B become aware of this without polling WebEx ever few minutes
for an update ? Are there events the client can subscribe to? There is a document
call "Connect Notification Service" but I am unclear if this is what I
should be using as there is no API information in doc.
Thanks,
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy

The document you are referring to is for a different product - WebEx Connect.  It's an IM client and doesn't apply to the meeting services.  Our XML API does not do event notifications or push data out. Polling is the only way to get information from the webservice.

Thank you

Thanks for the quick reply. Regarding polling, are there any limitations on how often the client can call the server? For example would the following scenario  be acceptable to WebEx ¿  a thick client application installed  on  40,000 desktops and with each client checking  for new meeting appointments every 5 to 10minutes?
Best regards,
Jimmy
