Power Input

12VDC External Power jack can be used to provide power to the HDK when used in standalone operation without the AP. This allows users to do early development/debugging offline when no AP is absolutely required. THe DC jack is a standard D4/2.35mm male DC barrel jack.

The input power is eFused at 5A.

When attached to the AP, and both AP 12VDC and external 12VDC input are active, the power from the external power jack takes precedence.

Note! Externally powered modules are not supported by the standard Cisco Aironet 3800 AP design. Do NOT power the HDK while attached to an unpowered AP.
