XSI FAQ
Q. Certain user ids don't seem to work. What could I be doing wrong?
A. The XSI requires the full user id userid@domain. Sending just the user id portion will cause a user not found error. This is most commonly occurred on systems using the system domain, which is not the recommended configuration. Always include the domain in your requests.
Q. Can I deploy my own web application on the BroadWorks XSP server?
A. That is not a supported configuration. The XSP and all web applications are tested to ensure the performance and capacity of the box which cannot be guaranteed if it hosts non-BroadWorks Web Applications.
Q. Where can I find the variables available within a VoiceXML or CCXML script?
A. Reference the BroadWorks VoiceXML and CCXML Developer’s Guide.
Q. What VoiceXML version does the BroadWorks Media Server support?
A. The BroadWorks Media Server is compliant with VoiceXML 2.0 and VoiceXML 2.1. The SIP interface is compliant to draft-ietf-mediactrl-vxml.
Q. Which Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech vendors are supported?
A. The BroadWorks Media Server communicates with speech servers using the MRCPv2 protocol. Interoperability testing has been performed with LumenVox Speech Recognition, Loquendo Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech servers and Nuance.
OCI-P FAQ
Q. What is the session ID and who creates it?
A. The client creates the session ID. It must be unique to each session and each message in the session must carry the same session ID.
Q. Can I send more than one OCI message in a single SOAP message?
A. Yes. Multiple commands may be sent in a single SOAP message in the same fashion that multiple commands can be included in a single document over TCP/IP.
Q. What character encodings can I use for special characters?
A. The following XML predefined entities can be included in an OCI transaction by encoding them as shown below:
< the less-than sign, opening angle bracket – <
> the greater-than sign, closing angle bracket – >
& ampersand – &
‘ apostrophe, straight single quote - '
“ straight double quotation marks - "
Q. I do not see any SOAP headers used by the test client. Are they used?
