Platform Architecture

Data Collection (1-3, 7)

The Cisco Observability Platform uses OpenTelemetry™ and custom collectors to collect cloud data sources.

The platform also enables you to create integrations with REST APIs to collect from different data sources.

Data Processing (4, 5, 9)

Incoming MELT data is then processed and organized into the flexible metadata model.

The data is correlated, transformed into JSON, and stored in the Knowledge Store.

Query Data (6)

The Unified Query Engine (UQE) enables you to query MELT data through a REST API.

Cisco Observability Platform Microsites and Dashboards (11)

The user interface binds the query results from the UQE with the DashUI templates to microsites, dashboards, and other UI components for observability solutions.
