Internal Domains

You can create and manage a list of domains through the Umbrella Internal Domains API. DNS queries for destinations that are found in the domains list bypass the Umbrella DNS resolvers and instead route through your local DNS servers.

You can find the Umbrella Internal Domains API endpoints under the deployments scope in the Umbrella API.

Rate Limits for Deployments API Endpoints

Umbrella enables rate limits on the Internal Domains API endpoints. For more information, see Rate Limits > Deployments.

Request Headers

Unless specified, the Umbrella API endpoints use JSON for all requests and responses.

Note: For POST, PUT, and PATCH operations, set the HTTP Content-Type header to application/json in your API request.
