Tagging

The Umbrella Tagging API enables you to create tags and list your organization's tags, and label and manage roaming computers in your organization with tags. You can find the Umbrella Tagging API endpoints under the deployments scope in the Umbrella API.

Get Started with the Tagging and Roaming Computers APIs

Use the Umbrella Tagging API and Umbrella Roaming Computers API to create a tag and then label a group of roaming computers in your organization with the tag.

Before you can create a tag and add it to a roaming computer, ensure that you have an Umbrella API key with the Roaming computers, Tags, and Tag Devices key scopes. For more information, see Manage API Keys and Generate an API Access Token.

Step 1 — Create a Tag

Create a tag for your organization. For more information, see Create Tag.

Step 2 — Get Roaming Computer Origin IDs

Get the origin IDs for the roaming computers in your organization. For more information, see List Roaming Computers.

Step 3 — Add a Tag to Your Roaming Computers

Add a tag to the roaming computers in your organization. For more information, see Add Tag to Devices.
