Enable SSL for Active Directory Authentication

You can enable secure authentication (SSL) against a Microsoft Active Directory server by exchanging the Customer Collaboration Platform certificate with the AD server.

On the Active Directory Server:

Step 1

Verify that the Active Directory has the Certificate Services service installed.

Step 2

Select All Programs > Administrative Tools > Certification Authority.

Step 3

Expand the domain node and select Issued Certificates.

Step 4

Double-click the certificate to open it.

Step 5

Open the Details tab and click Copy to file.

Step 6

An Export wizard appears. In the wizard, select DER encoded binary.

Step 7

Use the wizard to select a location to save the file.

Step 8

Click Finish.
