Guidelines and Limitations
Cisco DCNM REST APIs have the following guidelines and limitations:
- While importing the files in PMN Media controller for the Host policy, Flow policy, Flow Alias, and Host screens, Cisco DCNM validates only the mandatory fields; it will not throw any error for the optional fields.
- The fields senderEgressInterfaceName and receiverEgressInterfaceName are deprecated, and they should not be used for flows.
- When you create a static receiver across all the switches using APPLY-ALL, a record in the DCNM database is created to indicate that this static receiver is applied to all the switches. In case, you use the DELETE call to delete this static receiver on one of the switches, it will be deleted from the switch successfully. However, when you reload the switch, the previously deleted static receiver is recreated on the switch because there is a record of the static receiver in the DCNM database indicating that it should be apply to all the switches.
