Resolved Caveats on Iot-OD

CDETs Device Effected Description Info Workaround
CSCwc18289 All IR platforms Device up/down flapping event seen in Event logs. Tunnel connectivity: reachability from IoT-OD to device is not impacted. When you refresh metrics from IoT-OD, device comes up.

Root cause: Last heard metric was not updating since IoT-OD missed some SNMP traps sent by the device. So, markdown timer (which relies on last heard) sets device to DOWN state at its configured interval. When periodic interval timer arrives, device comes back UP. This caused flapping.
Set Config Group > Properties > set "Markdown timer interval" to be less than the "Periodic interval."

Open Caveats in IoT-OD

Defect Device effected Description Information Symptom Condition Workaround
CSCwb90951 IR On occasion, configuration push jobs do not expire automatically even when no devices are attached to group. This scenario can occur if there is an AP registration that continuously fails and devices are deleted. Subsequently, addition of the same devices to the same configuration group fails but is circumventable by using another configuration group. An active configuration job for registration cannot be cancelled once all attached devices to a group are deleted. Job did not expire or timeout itself against normal behavior. Also, we can not add any device to the affected group at this stage. Customer onboarded three devices using a particular group, AP bootstrapping was continuously failing and the configuration push was active. The customer successfully deleted all 3 devices. Use a different configuration group for registration.
CSCwb45934 IR While adding an IR800 or IR1100 device to an eCVD template group, in the User Management section, for 'Privilege Level' dropdown, along with the correct Privilege level values ('User', "Admin'), there is an additional 'Privilege Level' label displayed. The 'Privilege Level' label that is displayed cannot be selected and does not affect the actual 'Privilege level' value selection functionality The 'Privilege Level' label is shown as one of the selection choices in the drop-down along with actual 'Privilege level' values. The 'Privilege Level' label appears in the drop-down list only when the user tries to add more than one user in the user management section. Select the Privilege level ('User' or 'Admin') and click Save. The 'Privilege Level' label that is displayed in the dropdown cannot be selected.
CSCwb91680 All GET /devices with pagination is returning duplicates and missing records When there are more than 200 devices in the organization, paginating with a page greater than 1 and sorting based on non-unique fields like status and firmware version will return incorrect results. Sorting with pagination based on non-unique columns for /devices API can return duplicate records on subsequent pages When a sort is performed on a non-unique column Sort devices based on unique column such as name and eid.

CDETs Device Effected Description Information Workaround
CSCwb35413 IG Status sets to null in Connected Clients workflow. In the rare case that a Connected Client provides 0.0.0.0 as its IP address, SEA to Client will still work. Client can still be accessed from Connected Clients and SEA. However, from Operations Dashboard maps view, the Clients will not show up. For SEA to these clients, from SEA everything works. Only from Dashboard maps, in the event any client hits this rare bug, you cannot view.
CSCwb11699 IR Unable to recover the device from Config Failure when Cellular 2 is selected as the WAN uplink. eCVD WAN today provides a Cellular 2 interface. It is only for data traffic, not for onboarding via Cellular2 or failover to/from other interfaces. Dual-LTE or interface failover support from IoT-OD is planned for upcoming releases. Assign Cellular 1 to WAN Uplink option, not Cellular 2.
The next registration cycle will push the updated configuration.
It will be successful.
CSCwa49091 IG, IR Tenant name with backslash: Operations Dashboard stats won't work. Do not use backslash character when creating a new organization. You cannot edit an organization name; create a new one.
CSCwb37468 IR8x9 Location history not working in eCVD Basic IR8x9 template. Only the following 2 templates are available:
- eCVD-IR829-V2-01
- eCVD-IR1101-V2-01

2. Click Save.
3. Click Push Config.
CSCwb52468 IR1101 For the IR1101 device using eCVD2.0 and eCVD2.01 Advanced template, for WAN > Cellular 1 and Cellular 2 selection, use the dropdown to select Cellular 1 or Cellular 2, NOT the default Cellular 1 or Cellular 2. Application: you want to add APN name to Cellular 1 or Cellular 2 in the WAN interface in the Config group. 1. Click Configuration > pick the device > Edit Group > Configurations tab > WAN interface > WAN Uplink2 Enabled > select "Cellular 1" or "Cellular 2" dropdown > from dropdown select Cellular 1 or Cellular 2.
2. Difference: select value from dropdown instead of default.
3. Add cellular APN.
4. Save.
Consequences: Using default Cellular 1 or Cellular 2 option may wipe out initial APN. The updates won't get pushed to the device.
Fix will be updated in upcoming release cycle.
