Assign sensors to asset

If you have not paired the sensor with an asset while onboarding through the mobile app, then follow the steps below to do so using the dashboard application.

To assign a sensor to an asset,

1. From the left pane, click Inventory > Assets. Click on the asset to which you want to assign a sensor.
2. Click the Sensors tab and then click Assign Sensor.
3. This page lists all the sensors that have not been assigned to any asset.
4. Select the sensor(s) to assign to the asset and click Assign.

Note: You can't assign a sensor with the same name to the same asset which means you can't assign duplicate sensors to the same asset.

Unassign Sensor

You can unassign any or all sensors paired with an asset. When you unassign a sensor, any alerts associated withthe sensors are deleted.

To unassign a sensor,

1. From the left pane, click Inventory > Assets. Click on the asset to which you want to assign a sensor.
2. Click the Sensors tab and select the sensors to unassign from the asset.
3. Click Unassign.
