Defect Device Affected Description Symptom Condition Workaround
CSCwi69582 IR1800 Device is stuck during onboarding process with Metric Retrieval Failure error and "IOx Device Added" logs continuously. Device onboarding is not successful and shows Config Failure status. When onboarding a device to a config group which already has device stuck in configuring, it is stuck in a loop with Metric Retrieval Failure during the registration process, shows config failure status. To mitigate:
1. Go to config group and click Cancel (cancels group config push job).
2. Re-onboard or retrigger config push for that device either at device level or group level.
We are awaiting the original fix; we cannot reproduce this issue in house.
CSCwf62435 IR1101, IR1800 When Device loses reachability, EEM recovery is triggered on the device. It leaves iotd_recovery.log log file on flash of device to explain root cause.
If EEM recovery is triggered, the device loses remote reachability. The log file (iotd_recovery.log) currently includes show tech-support so, it may not be retrievable from SEA self-SSH, as it takes a long time.
When device loses remote reachability, EEM recovery is triggered, the entire show tech-support log is logged in the bootflash. When Recovery option is enabled in the config group, upon the EEM recovery trigger, iotd_recovery.log file is saved in the bootflash of the device. Check the output from Troubleshooting > IOS show command > more flash:iotd_recovery.log
CSCwh80714 IR1101 Config Replace fails when device is upgrading from 17.04.01 to the latest images due to unsupported Mgcp. CLIs.
Note: Mgcp is "Media Gateway Control Protocol" which is a Call Agent/Endpoint protocol which instructs the endpoint what action to take once an event is detected.
Config Replace fails due to Mgcp-related CLIs and reloads the device. When scheduling firmware update from versions lower than 17.08.01, Config Replace fails due to Mgcp-related CLIs and reloads the device. Issue occurs if upgrade is from 17.08.01 software version. See CSCwa48010 starting from 17.08.01 version.

Click on the desired status filter to get the appropriate status filter tab highlighted.
CSCwi83154 All API response is slow by a couple of seconds when user navigates through different buttons in IoT OD due to magnetic changes. API responses are delayed across different pages in OD. When a user navigates between different status filters in the roll up, the device filtering is very slow. It takes a considerable amount of time to display the last selected filter. Also, across different pages in OD including SEA, there is a slight delay while loading the API. N/A.
CSCwi79477 IR1101, IR1800, IR800 "Config Push Success" event is missing in event logs when firmware install has finished in the device. Configuration Push Successful event is not logged in Event logs after scheduled firmware install is completed. Firmware install includes re-registration, but after successful registration, Configuration Push Success event is not logged in the Event logs. There is no workaround and there is no impact to config push operations after firmware update is completed.

When you try to onboard a device to a config group which already has a device stuck in Configuring for a long time, it is stuck in a loop with Metric Retrieval Failure during the registration process resulting in Config Failure. To mitigate this issue, go to the config group and click "Cancel." This cancels the group config push job.
Then re-onboard or re-trigger config push for that device, either at device level or group level. However, Cisco is awaiting the original fix; we were unable to reproduce this issue.
