Authentication

The Umbrella Enforcement API requires authentication for all requests with a customer key. To get started, log in to Umbrella and create your Enforcement API customer key.

Note: API keys allow access to your private customer data. You should never share your credentials with another user or organization.

Log in to Umbrella

Log in to Umbrella with the following URL:

https://dashboard.umbrella.com

In Umbrella, you can find your username after Admin in the navigation tree. Confirm that your organization appears under your username.

Create API Key

Umbrella requires a fixed UUID-v4 customer key for each integrated system.

1. Navigate to Policies > Policy Components > Integrations.
2. Expand an existing threat intelligence integration or click Add to generate a custom integration.
3. Select the Enable check box to activate the integration.
4. Copy your customer key and click Save.

Note: Umbrella generates a custom integration request string that includes your customer key.
