Mesh Policy Engine API

The Mesh Policy Engine API enables programmatic access to manage network security policies within your network.

The API operations are used by developers and network engineers to automate policy management tasks, integrate with other systems, and enhance the overall security of the network.

API operations follow standard RESTful principles, allowing for easy integration with various programming languages and tools.

What Can You Do with Mesh Policy Engine API?

The Mesh Policy Engine consists of several key modules, each featuring its own API operations:

  • MPM (Manual Policy Manager): These API operations enable network administrators to configure and manage policies in the Mesh Policy Engine UI. The operations enable CRUD on MPM changesets, manage MPM policies, handle related entities, track request status, and more.
  • PCM (Persisted Connectivity Management): These API operations let users declare their connectivity requirements as permit-only rules. These rules are placed in the environment through their relationship to topology. These API operations support CRUD on PCM policies, network groups, service groups, related entities, and tracking of PCM request status.
  • Topology: These API operations facilitate the configuration and management of gateway sets, zones, addresses, and more.
  • Policy Import: These API operations allow users to import policies into MPM and track the status of the request.
