Link Conditioning¶
Link conditioning allows you to simulate real-life network conditions and problems on links between nodes. You can adjust parameters such as bandwidth, ping, jitter, and packet loss to replicate various network scenarios and test the behavior of your network design.
Procedure
In the lab Workbench, select the link you want to configure the link conditioning for.
Click on the link.
The Link Conditioning settings are located on the bottom of the pane, underneath Link Statistics.
In the Link Conditioning settings, you can configure link conditioning parameters for the selected link. The parameters are:
Bandwidth: Specify the desired bandwidth for the link.
Latency: Set the round-trip time (RTT) for the link.
Jitter: Introduce random variations in latency.
Loss: Simulate packet loss on the link.
‘Enable’ toggle: Disable the conditioning without deleting it.
