Deleting Smart Annotations

Cisco Modeling Labs automatically maintains smart annotations in your lab based on the tags on your nodes. When you add a new tag to a node, CML also adds a smart annotation to the lab for that tag. To remove a smart annotation from your lab completely, simply remove the associated tag from all nodes in your lab.

Open the lab that you want to edit in the Workbench by clicking the lab tile or title in the Dashboard page.

Procedure

Click to select one of the nodes that is tagged with the smart annotation that you’d like to remove.

The Sidebar pane for that node is shown.

Find the Tags field in the Settings page of the Sidebar and click the X button for that tag to remove it.

The tag is immediately removed from the node, and CML automatically adjusts the smart annotation so that it no longer includes the node.

Repeat the process to remove the tag from all other nodes with that tag.

Alternatively, you can remove a tag from multiple nodes at once by selecting multiple nodes and using the bulk edit action from the right-click context menu. On the Bulk Edit Nodes dialog, you can remove a tag from all selected nodes by clicking the X next to the tag.

Once the tag is no longer used on any node in your lab, CML will remove the associated smart annotation from your lab along with its associated properties.
