Hiding and Showing Smart Annotations¶
While the smart annotations may visually represent important information about your lab, you can quickly hide all smart annotations to focus more clearly on the nodes and links themselves. You can easily re-enable the display of smart annotations at any time.
For each node tag in your lab, you can also select whether CML should render a smart annotation for that tag. The smart annotation for a disabled tag will not be shown in the Workbench even when your canvas settings are configured to show annotations. See Disabling and Enabling Smart Annotations for a Tag.
Make sure that you have a lab with smart annotations open in the Workbench.
Procedure
Click the Canvas Settings button on the main Workbench toolbar.
The Canvas Settings toolbar is shown.

The Canvas Settings toolbar.¶
Click the Hide Smart Annotations button to toggle the display of smart annotations in the Workbench.
No smart annotations are shown in the Workbench. Note that the canvas settings are not specific to any lab. That is, if you click Hide Smart Annotations in one lab and then later return to the Dashboard and open a different lab in the Workbench, smart annotations will also be hidden in that lab.

Hiding all Smart Annotations¶
To show the smart annotations for your tags again, toggle the same button in the Canvas Settings toolbar to Show Smart Annotations.
Smart annotations are shown in the Workbench for all enabled tags.
