Using Custom Images¶
Once your administrator has added the custom image to your system, you can use it with any node that uses the same node definition that is associated with the custom image definition. Administrator can also see Preparing Custom Images.
Procedure
Drag-and-drop a node to the topology canvas in the Workbench. Use a node definition that has at least one custom image associated with it.
Select the node.
Select the custom image from the Image Definition drop-down list in the Settings pane.
When you start the lab simulation, this node will use the custom image instead of the default image for the associated node definition.
Note
If there is more than one Image Definition available for the Node Definition you can select one of these definitions for each node separately. You can select Automatic to assign the Image Definition automatically.
The automatic assignment selects the first Image Definition by disk name. If you want to use another Image Definition, please choose it manually. Alternatively Administrator may create custom Image Definition to be chosen by the automatic assignment. See Preparing Custom Images.
