The Secure Firewall Management Center REST API allows a third-party application, such as Firewall Platform Management solutions (FPMs) to read and write NGFW and NGIPS policies and configuration information without needing to go through the Secure Firewall Management Center’s (FMC) user interface.

The Secure Firewall Database Access API is a JDBC interface that allows direct queries into the Secure Firewall Management Center’s (FMC) event and host database without needing to use the user interface

Secure Firewall’s eStreamer is a TCP-based, client server API that allows all ten event record types to be requested from the Secure Firewall Management Center securely, with the highest possible amount of detail including metadata, and for consumption by an analytics or log management platform

The Host Input API allows third party applications to write additional data, including vulnerability data, OS information and other arbitrary data, into Secure Firewall’s Host Database. Third party vulnerability information, such as that which comes from an active scanner, can be used to drive Impact Flag correlation and rule recommendations instead of or in conjunction with Secure Firewall’s discovery-based host profile information.

The Remediation API allows users to automate a programmatic response to a wide variety of end point or network conditions ranging from simple to complex. Responses can include the execution of a script in a secure directory on the Secure Firewall Management Center that parses and passes key event information to be actioned by an external application.
