Getting Started With Cisco SIP

  1. Review the Understanding Session Initiation Protocol section of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager System Guide
     

  2. Review the SIP Line/Trunk Messaging Guide or SIP Transparency and Normalization Guide for the desired Cisco Unified CM release. 
     

  3. Subscribe to the Cisco SIP blog to receive updates from the interface Product Manager.
     

  4. Obtain Cisco Unified CM software, hardware, and licenses from Cisco Marketplace or local Cisco sales representative.  150 Device License Units (DLUs) are automatically bundled free with Unified CM software.

    A.   You must have a Cisco.com account with partner level access to purchase this product.  If you do not have an account, please register for one at https://tools.cisco.com/RPF/register/register.do.  If you have an account, but have forgotten your password, you can reset it at http://tools.cisco.com/RPF/passwordreset.do.

    Contact the Solution Partner Program Help Desk to confirm if you have partner level access associated with your Cisco.com account.  If you do not, it may take 3 - 5 days to apply this level of access to your account.

  1. Review Cisco BE 3000 SIP trunk Introduction to understand the supported SIP features on BE3000, and difference between Cisco BE3000 and Cisco Call manager.

  2. Review Cisco BE 3000 SIP trunk program to understand what is needed for BE 3000 SIP trunk test and support mechanism

  3. Review Cisco BE 3000 Connection pack white paper to understand how to build connection pack for BE 3000 SIP trunk

  4. Review the SIP Line/Trunk Messaging Guide or SIP Transparency and Normalization Guide for the desired Cisco Unified CM release but only focus on the supported feature on BE3000 SIP trunk. for the desired Cisco Unified CM release. BE 3000 share the same SIP stacks with Call manager

  5. Subscribe to Cisco SIP blog to receive updates

  6. Obtain Cisco BE 3000 software, hardware and licenses from Cisco Commerce Workspace via Distributor. Ordering guide is available at:
