Cisco Cyber Vision New UI API
From Cisco Cyber Vision Center Release 5.3, the Center includes New UI, a distinct offering that comprises simplified, structured views of assets, vulnerabilities, and alerts.
By organizing information around physical equipment and aggregating multiple network identities, the New UI helps users focus on the most relevant data such as asset name, type, and version. This approach reduces clutter and enables efficient management and monitoring of critical assets at scale.
The Cisco Cyber Vision New UI API, introduced in Cisco Cyber Vision Release 5.4.0, are RESTful API that enable programmatic management of New UI data.
This API allows for programmatic interaction with an asset-based system, facilitating:
- Custom dashboards
- Automated vulnerability assessments
- Streamlined security policy enforcement
To manage data from classic Cyber Vision Centers, see the Cisco Cyber Vision Classic API.
Cisco Cyber Vision New UI API Use Cases
- Retrieve comprehensive lists of assets based on various criteria such as last active time, first active time, vulnerability status, active alerts, functional group, vendor, type, and name.
- Identify assets affected by vulnerabilities, filtering by Cisco Security Risk Score (CSRS) or Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) score.
- List assets impacted by specific Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) IDs, with capabilities to filter by asset type.
- Access detailed asset information such as network interfaces (such as IP or MAC addresses), and Packet Capture (PCAP) and sensor associations.
