Getting started with CER
In order to setup a CER server, adhere to the following requirements:
Before you start, please make sure you have basic knowledge on SNMP, CDP, H.323 and JTAPI. Learn and setup the server:
- Register with Cisco to get a Cisco ID and log-in to access the downloads and tools.
- Read the Overview page to understand how all the pieces fit together.
- Get the latest CER Docs: admin guide, user guide and release note. It can be downloaded from Internet
- Server-side installation and configuration are described in the admin guide NOTES:
- Most of the APIs are supported from CER 10.5 onwards except License Manager API which is supported in CER11.0.
- IP subnet API in CER 10.5 only shows the subnet details, it is modified in version 11.0 to include discovered phones detail in response.
- CER support specific CUCM versions. The information is present in the release notes
