API Categorization and Organization

The APIs in the HyperFlex REST API Explorer are organized into different categories at two layers to help you quickly locate the appropriate API operation(s) required. The top-level categories are as follows:

Authentication, Authorization and Accounting APIs
Core APIs
Encryption APIs
Data Protection APIs
Support Service APIs

API Explorer

Each top-level category is subdivided into categories based on related actions or objects. For example, under the Core APIs top-level category there are several sub-categories like Cluster, Cluster Operations,Virtual Machine, and Datastore.

HyperFlex Core REST API

Each sub-category can be expanded by clicking on its name to reveal a list of the specific API operations available under that sub-category.

The following example shows the API operations available under the Core APIs -> Cluster sub-category.
