1. Why is the CREATE ACCESS KEY button not displayed?
If you don't see the CREATE ACCESS KEY button on the registration portal it means that your Cisco.com (CCO) user ID is not entitled for any company. You need to reach out to you BCS Account Project Manager and/or Consulting Engineer to get your account entitled.
2. Why is the BCS Operational Insights API not listed on application registration screen?
If you don't see the BCS Operational Insights API when creating a new application it means that your Cisco.com (CCO) user ID is not entitled for any company. You need to reach out to you BCS Account Project Manager and/or Consulting Engineer to get your account entitled.
3. Why is the company I want to create an application for not listed?
If you don't see the company for which you want to register the application listed in the drop-down menu it means your Cisco.com (CCO) user ID is not entitled yet for this company. You need to reach out to you BCS Account Project Manager and/or Consulting Engineer to get your account entitled.
4. How do I know if data onboarding is finished?
You can verify the status of the data onboarding by clicking on the information icon next to your registered application; this will display you more information about the application including whether the data onboarding is finished.
5. How do I know what region to put in the base url?
You can verify the region to be used by clicking on the information icon next to your registered application; this will display you the region to be used in the base url.
6. Why is the API endpoint not returning any data?
When you get a success response back from the API endpoint but no data is returned the following things can be checked:
- Verify that the data onboarded flag is set to true; you can check this by clicking on the information icon next to your registered application in the registration portal. When the flag is false it means the data onboarding is still in process.
- Verify that you are using the correct region in the Base url; you can check the region to use by clicking on the information icon next to your registered application in the registration portal.
