Business Critical Services(BCS) Operational Insights API

Onboarding Process

All Business Critical Services (BCS) 3.0 customers will be able to consume these BCS Operational Insights (OI) API. Onboarding to BCS OI API is a three-step process as listed below:

  1. Entitlement
    Entitlement to the required Customer CCO Id(s) should be done via the respective BCS Account Project Manager and/or Consulting Engineers. As part of this, your Cisco.com (CCO) User ID is mapped to the internal BCS customer ID.

  2. Register the application
    Once entitled, you can register the application and create a Client ID and Client Secret. For more information, refer to the Application Registration section.

  3. Generate Token
    Use the Client ID and Client Secret from step 2 to generate the JSON Web Token (JWT). Authenticate each request by providing an HTTP Authentication header populated with the JWT, and you should be able to consume the data from the BCS OI API. For more information, refer to the Authentication section.
