Phases and steps

The chronological angle of NADM consists of two phases; Getting started and Build automation practice. Each phase then consists of three respective steps:

Getting started

• Define
• Demonstrate
• Deploy

Build automation practice

• Expand
• Operationalize
• Run

For each step a set of Best practices together with a Checklist is stated (the best practices and checklists are also referenced to at the end of each topic section). The idea is to let the reader consume a set of best practices for each step and use the checklist to understand what and how the team has performed. It is suggested to get a good understanding of the all phases and steps before addressing the first step.

A Value proposition is also stated for each step to indicate what value is expected to get created.
