What is WLCCA?

  • Supports all AireOS controllers, versions and model types
  • For 9800, please use WCAE
  • It is a support tool, not a management application
  • Main Objective: Save time processing WLC configurations
  • Secondary Objective: RF Analysis
  • Secondary Objective: Audit config against a rule set
  • It is fully offline to the WLC, it does not store any data, or sends any data back
  • It is not a TAC supported products, it is basically provided "as is"

What is needed?

  • it works with the output of the "show run-config" command, as it provides a full view of the WLC and AP configurations, plus a snapshot of the RF state of the network
  • It does not work with TFTP config backup, or sh tech
  • Best way to get obtain the file: using SSH with paging disabled
  • Alternative: using TFTP with “transfer upload data run-conf”

How to use it

Load Files

Click on the new "config-set" button to start the process and select the files to load

Select the type of config audit (Voice, Security, BYOD), and if you want a final report to be generated

You can load multiple files at the same time, they will be handled as belonging to the same mobility group and configuration will be cross-checked between them

File(s) will be processed and you will get the initial controller summary view when done:
