Add alerts
Add alerts for different topics or a gateway to notify GMM users about user actions and unexpected gateway and application events.
Alerts are logged in the system and can also be delivered by email ot text message. Alerts are sent as soon as the event occurs, or after a specified delay.
Note: To avoid excessive alert emails, carefully select alert topics and gateways. The current release will generate a maximum of 50 alert emails within a 24 hour period to avoid spamming users with too many messages.
- Go to Tools > Alerts.
- Click Add Alert.
- Complete the alert settings.
- Name—A meaningful name for the alert.
- Gateways—(Optional) The gateway(s) that will generate an alert. Click the entry field to select a group of gateways or search for a gateway. Click + to expand a group name and select a specific device.
- Alerts Delivery Format—Select Email and/or Text and enter a valid address or phone number to be notified when an alert occurs. Phone numbers should include a country code. Separate multiple entries with a comma (,).
