Node parameters¶
The user can now specify SMBIOS System Information for nodes (for more details see libvirt documentation)
Default SMBIOS parameters are loaded from the corresponding Node Definition when a node is created. See the Node Definition SMBIOS Parameters Specification section of the Admin Guide for more details.
SMBIOS parameters can be managed for each node independently, and they will take effect after start of the node.
Specification of custom SMBIOS parameters can be done as follows:
Procedure
Select the Node for parameters specification in Workbench page.
In the Node Parameters section click Add Parameter.
For update of an existing parameter or its value this step can be skipped.
Pick the desired parameter from drop-down menu and set a value for the parameter.
Click Apply to save your changes.
To delete a node parameter navigate to Node Parameters section and click on the Trash can icon next to the parameter. Then click Apply to save your changes.
Note
The default parameters loaded from a Node Definition cannot be deleted. However, you can edit a parameter’s value or restore it to the default value by clicking the Restore button next to the parameter.
SMBIOS parameters can only be specified on a clean (newly-added or wiped) node.
Specified parameters are exported/imported with the node.
