Device Settings

Alert: Cisco has made the end-of-life (EOL) announcement for the Cisco Edge Device Manager (EDM).

Introduction

The device settings interface allows you to set the domain and the time zone of each IR1101 and IR1800 devices.

Note: For Ignition Power Management, see Device Management.

Host: The host refers to the application host. A hosted application is a software as a service solution, and it can be run remotely using commands. Application hosting gives administrators a platform for leveraging their own tools and utilities.

  • Local Domain Name: Displays the domain name used so that the server is able to translate domain names into IP addresses.

Time Settings: Provides a drop-down list of all available time zones and their offset from GMT using the ntp refclock gps command.

  • Router Local Time Zone: Displays the list of the Time Zone offerings.

To configure the IR1101 device settings:

  1. In the Host section, select the Local Domain Name.
  2. In the Time Settings section, select the Router Local Time Zone from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Save. A success notice opens in the bottom right.

Note: You can save the settings of each module by clicking Save or wait until the entire eCVD template is configured.
