Alert: Cisco has made the end-of-life (EOL) announcement for the Cisco Edge Device Manager (EDM).
The IR829 provides an internal WLAN Access Point that runs on-board the router. The AP803 works as a standalone access point or with a wireless controller. Using the LAN section, you can configure the IR8x9 to link to IP addresses within a LAN DHCP pool.
Field descriptions:
- LAN IP DHCP Scope Address: The starting IP address of the LAN DHCP pool. Also sets the IP address assigned to the VLAN1 interface for LAN for example: 192.168.1.1
- LAN Subnet DHCP Scope Netmask: This field allows you to enter the IP Submask for the LAN. The default is 255.255.255.0.
- Primary LAN DNS IP Address: The DNS IP Addresses the defaults are: 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 (Umbrella DNS)
- Secondary LAN DNS IP Address: The DNS IP Addresses the defaults are: 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220 (Umbrella DNS)
- LAN Subnet DHCP exclude range start IP: This field allows you to enter the first IP Address for the DHCP exclude range.
- LAN Subnet DHCP exclude range end IP: This field allows you to enter the last IP Address for the DHCP exclude range.
To configure an IR829 eCVD LAN:
- (Required): Enter the IP Address that serves as the LAN IP DHCP Scope Address.
- (Required): Enter the IP Netmask that serves as the LAN Subnet DHCP Scope Netmask.
- (Required): Enter the DNS IP Address that serves as the Primary LAN DNS IP Address.
- (Required): Enter the DNS IP Address that serves as the Secondary LAN DNS IP Address.
- (Optional): Enter the IP Address that serves as the start of the LAN Subnet DHCP exlude range.
- (Optional): Enter the IP Address that serves as the end of the LAN Subnet DHCP exlude range.
- Click Save.
